If you are like me and tend to get distracted by shiny items, then you must know the struggle;
Small earrings covering the top of your nightstand, some of them missing a pair already, necklaces all over the window sill and rings regularly popping up from jacket pockets or wallet.
Jewelry is the easiest thing to buy but it’s also very easy to get too much of the good thing there. At the end of the day you tend to wear the same pair of earrings and a simple bracelet one day after the other. Only for dinners and weekend events you put a bit of effort in and choose the rarely used statement piece.
Not me, though. I love my jewelry, all of them, and since to me every day is worth a party I choose my jewelry just like I choose my outfits: with care and precision.
Wearing the same earrings two days in a row is a no-go to me but everything else pretty much sticks: I have 2 gold necklaces, which I wear every single day and the gold bracelet rarely leaves my wrist. I can’t imagine a situation where I would take my bracelet off, not even when I go to sauna or to sleep.
Most of the gold and silver jewelry that I own has been gifted to me. I got my very first gold necklace the day I was born and I still wear it regularly. This was all due to the fact that my grandfather was a goldsmith.
I’ve always known the value of gold even if I’ve had an abundance of it for free. But my grandfather passed away last year and that means that I actually have to open my wallet from now on, whenever I want a new piece of jewelry.
Quite recently I came across a French jewelry company, Brother & Sisters, and their collections, and more importantly prices, were a very welcome discovery. The only problem is that they’ve got so many amazing pieces available that it’s hard to pick one. Which is why Monika ended up ordering multiple bracelets.
My latest purchase was this ring in the pictures and I am absolutely in love with it; it’s so cute and it’s got one thing I appreciate very much – sparkle! Brother & Sisters was kind enough to provide me with a discount code, which I would like to share with you guys as well. Use this code for -30% discount on all prices (including sale items):
And thanks for the amazingly beautiful shell-dish goes to my boyfriend who brought me a picnic set from Philippines made out of sea shells. The “plates” will now serve as gorgeous jewelry dishes.
