Best Sustainable Accessory Brands to Shop In 2026 – See the TOP 6

Best sustainable accessory brands, what a palava in this world full of greenwashing and brands trying to take the ‘easy road to sustainability’ (which obviously doesn’t exist!) Sustainability is a complex issue that involves everything from climate to people.

This includes environmentally friendly materials and production, ethical practices from fields to factory, and looking at profit from a new angle.

Our beautiful planet can’t take much more of our over-consumption! But at the same time the system we live in requires us to consume over our own needs. Obviously this can’t go on much longer. Which is why we need to start making the switch to a more sustainable buying behaviour yesterday.

I’m here to help you make this switch! I provide perspective on how badly our minds have been twisted to believe that cheap clothing is our right.

And I also bring you alternatives to fast fashion brands, that are a major cause for our current climate crisis. Today I’m bringing you a list of amazing, sustainable accessory brands to shop this Autumn!

Because let’s face it, Autumn is one of the busiest shopping seasons. All those warm tones, soft fabrics and comfy shapes that adorn the clothing racks all around. It’s hard to say ‘no’.

But if we want to be able to live on this planet still in 50 years’ time, we better learn to practice some self-discipline! Instead of the easy, cheap fast fashion options, shop these sustainable accessory brands this Autumn:

TOP6 Best Sustainable Accessory Brands to Shop This Year

sustainable accessory brands

Let’s get one thing straight first up: yes, the best sustainable accessory brands are more expensive than the fast fashion ones. In fact, sustainable accessory brands are acceptably and reasonably priced.

I understand that the younger generations find this hard to understand. All they’ve ever known, are faux leather bags that cost £10. FYI, this is not normal!

I’d like to remind you that fast fashion as a business model was created in the early 1990. Thus, it has only existed for a relatively short while. Still, in that relatively short while, it’s become a massive environmental threat to our existence.

Before the 1990’s people paid much more for the clothes they bought and still managed to be clothed. Stylishly too!

So please, don’t come telling me you can’t afford sustainable accessory brands! You need to learn to budget, dear. Now, let’s dig into these gorgeous brands that you CAN afford if you lay off those fast fashion hauls:

1. Nordgreen

Nordgreen is a beautiful accessory brand from Denmark. Their signature products are Scandinavian inspired watches that last the tooth of time. Nordgreen’s design aesthetics are simplistic, clean and drop-dead gorgeous, so one watch can easily be matched with any outfit.

Sustainability-wise they’re well set up because the brand is Danish, and their watches are designed locally. Manufacturing happens in China, in a Danish-owned factory. Nordgreen is aiming for full traceability for all of their 3 supply chain tiers.

Their watches have CE marked batteries, and the leather for the straps comes from Italy, from EU compliant tanneries.

Nordgreen  kindly gifted me a watch of my own choice! The best part about their service is that you can basically ‘build’ a watch of your dreams. Choose the clock-face, the colour, material and the shape of the strap, and assemble the perfect watch for you.

I went for the simplistic Unika collection and chose golden frame for the dial with light gray straps.

2. PIHKA collection

PIHKA collection is one of my favourites on this best sustainable accessory brands list. No wonder I’ve got over 5 bags from them! They specialize in creating functional and durable bags of all sizes in the most delicious colours! Their bags are designed and created in Tampere, Finland and their design aesthetic is simple but elegant.

In PIHKA they don’t believe in trends but in timeless design, which encapsulates the sustainable values of the brand. They use surplus leather from Germany and Sweden, and some of their leather tans are vegan.

I can personally vouch for the quality of their bags! For example, my Kide tote bag has been a reliable travel companion for several years already, but the leather hasn’t aged one bit. My bright red Agata is my preferred clutch bag for evenings out, and my Armi bags, both small and big, are brilliant for any and all occasions imaginable.

3. Monday Monarch

Now, Monday Monarch – not your run-of-the-mill jewelry brand! It’s a small company spun from the dreams of Anna and Robert, a dynamic duo of siblings who decided in 2017 to sprinkle a bit of magic into the world of the best sustainable accessory brands.

The humble beginnings of Monday Monarch sparked in the cozy confines of Anna and Robert’s living room. As fate would have it, their passion for crafting exquisite jewelry outshone their everyday grind.

This prompted them to bid farewell to the mundane and embark on a quest to craft the most beautiful jewellery brand.

With grit and gusto, they meticulously piece together each link of chain and every glimmering pendant, ensuring that only the crème de la crème made the cut. Their design aesthetic is original, minimalist, and oh-so-stylish.

4. Palmroth

This is another Finnish favourite of mine: a pioneer amongst the best sustainable accessory brands. Palmroth creates footwear that are meant to last through the rough and swiftly changing seasons in Scandinavia.

That means that their shoes can withstand any climate on the planet! I can vouch for that, I’ve got couple pairs from them, for Summer and for Winter.

Pertti Palmroth started creating shoes already in the 1930 in Finland but these days their production happens in Portugal in addition to Finland. They use high quality leather in all of their footwear and their sustainability approach is based on keeping all production in Europe.

You can see a map of all of the producers involved in their supply chain on their website. That’s what transparency looks like!

What’s special about Palmroth is that they also offer a vegan collection. Oh yes, vegan footwear! That means that there are no animal-related materials used in any part of the production.

Vegan shoes are a rarety, especially stylish vegan shoes. So, if that’s something you’re looking for, definitely check out Palmroth!

Ideal of Sweden is (surprise, surprise!) a Swedish enterprise and our last addition to the list of the best sustainable accessory brands. The brand specializes in accessorizing our most important possessions: our phones and laptops! They offer gorgeous casings for all smart phone types.

What makes the brand so fun, is the possibility to mix and match different casings to make a coherent collection including your phone, laptop and wallet.
